Cameron L. Mitchell

Cameron L. Mitchell is the Founder and Executive Director of Free Fyre. He has been named the 2022 Poet Laureate of Murfreesboro. Cameron has presented internationally collaborating with: Disney, PBS, Legacy foundation Japan, Nafasi Art Museum in Tanzania, Jazz Museum in Harlem, Kyoritsu Women’s University in Tokyo, Metro Arts, Civil Rights Museum, Vanderbilt University, and Meharry Medical college among several others. He has created performances such as “Regicide the premiered at Oz Arts Brave New Works Lab.” 

Cameron is a published artist with installation art at the Gateway path in Murfreesboro. Cameron’s passion is driven to show a love of Christ through his work to inspires the community, and highlights mental health awareness through transformative storytelling.
